Prayer & Care
Prayer and Care at Indian Heights UMC
Prayer and Care is key to being a Christian, and a United Methodist. There are many Biblical references about caring for others, and about prayer, that guide us, including:
Do not merely look out for your own personal interests,
but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4)
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other,
just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32)
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Ephesians 6:18)
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy?
Let them sing songs of praise. (James 5:13)
Pray continually …(1 Thessalonians 5:17)
