Women

Women’s Book Group: meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September-May, in the Church Library at 1:30pm to review a variety of books.

Ladies Creative Cooking: meets at 11am the first Friday of the month, September-May. Each month features a different menu (and even venue, as sometimes we meet at restaurants, and sometimes we meet at church).

Creative Souls: the group gathers on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, from 5-8pm, for a time of creativity, fellowship and fun. A meal is typically provided. Attendees can work on individual art/craft items, or participate in a group project. So far, quilts, bibs and other items have been made for community organizations.

Women’s Theology Group:  Meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday, 9:30-11:30am to share our lives and gather support on our spiritual journey. We are currently reading and discussing the book, John, The Gospel of Light and Life, by Adam Hamilton.

Prayer Shawl Ministry: this is a group of women who knit, crochet and sew quilts that are given to those in need of spiritual encouragement. Let us know if you are interested in joining.

Men’s Breakfast: the guys meet every, yes EVERY, Wednesday morning (7am) at “The Big Biscuit” (95th and Nall) for a time of fellowship and some good food. If Wednesday is a holiday, such as Christmas or New Year, we probably won’t meet…but really, this is a dedicated group!!

Church Work Days – are held twice a year (spring and fall); this is a time to get your gloves on and help inside and outside the church with pruning, maintenance, painting, repairing, and just about anything else that needs to be done.

“Christ for All Nations” – Spanish Ministry  – We have a Spanish ministry that worships at 4pm on Saturdays, and gathers Wednesdays from 10-noon for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. The leader, Alice Brown, is fluent in both Spanish and English and welcomes people of all ages and stages in their Christian growth. Children of all ages are welcome, as well as youth and adults. We are always seeking Bibles in Spanish and Christian curriculum for this group to use; if you have any resources, please contact our Church Office. ¡Gracias!

Renewing Our Sense of Wonder

Happy Easter! I love that Easter comes in the spring. The natural world around us is slowly coming back to life as this majestic symbol of the resurrection of Jesus Christ - all of this is so amazing! My husband Andy and I have been doing our best to teach our son, little Theo, about creation and Jesus. We love taking him on nature walks and explaining...
